Just as the Fellowship must deal with a host of enemies in their travels, so must you. Middle-Earth is plagued with the worst enemies imagineable, and you must take many of them on. Some you may get some help with, while many you will not. Be prepared!
The Balrog
Race: Demon (really evil)Weapon of Choice: Whip / Sword made of flame
The Balrog is an ancient creature of the underworld, awakened when the Dwarves of Moria delved too deep in search of Mithril. This demi-god is unmatched in power except by Gandalf, and can lay waste to even pure rock. Everything, even Orcs, runs from this great demon, in hopes of saving their own lives.
As you might expect, the Balrog fight in The Third Age happens with Gandalf on the Bridge of Moria. And you must help Gandalf. With the aid of the great wizard, this powerful enemy can easily be defeated.
Goblins
Race: GoblinWeapon of Choice: Anything
The Goblins of Middle-Earth are amongst the most annoying creatures ever found. They were Elves once, bred and tortured to become the horrible, menacing things that they now are. In their continued disgusting lifestyle, these creatures will take any means to destroy any oncoming travellers.
Destroying Goblins, though tedious sometimes, is not particularly hard. Most require only one or two slashes of a sword. Others, however, require a bit more. Be careful in some battles to do what is necessary to end them.
Orcs
Race: OrcWeapon of Choice: Anything
Orcs, like Goblins, were once Elves, though they have now become the disgusting things that roam across Middle-Earth. Orcs are much more plentiful than Goblins, though they are afraid of attacking alone. As a result, many orcs form groups who then proceed to do their own dirty deeds.
Killing Orcs is not particularly hard, either. Many of them are particularly weak, although some need a little more strategy. Beware the Orc Chieftains, because they have a tendency to be particularly nasty.
Uruk-Hai
Race: Orc / HumanWeapon of choice: Sword
Uruk-Hai are the disgusting crossbreed between wild men and orcs, created by Saruman the Wizard in the pits of Orthanc. These are the strongest form of Orcs found on Middle-Earth, able to travel by day across long distances. They are not afraid of anything.
Defeating Uruk-Hai can be slightly more difficult. Putting them to sleep is a good strategy, as is using Uruk-Hai tailored attacks. Regardless, they are dangerous creatures that should be defeated quickly.
